The Timekeeper began life as Fenrona Hannah, a half-elf assassin and member of Ocean’s Oath. During one fateful adventure, the group encountered a paradox that triggered a retcon in the laws of Time itself. In that fleeting moment, Hannah made contact with the previous Timekeeper, a meeting that forever altered her destiny.
When the former Timekeeper perished after reversing time to save her, Hannah claimed the mantle by touching his Hourglass, becoming the new guardian of the timeline. Timekeepers wield the immense power to rewind and correct events that threaten the fabric of existence. However, such power is fraught with peril—those who abuse it for personal gain or stray from their purpose meet instant and permanent death, their very existence erased from the timeline. Timekeepers follow these tenants:
- You are a steward, not a sovereign. Guide the timeline, but never impose your will upon it.
- Not all tragedies should be reversed. Accept that some pain and loss are necessary threads in the tapestry of existence.
- The timeline must remain unbroken. Ensure its integrity at all costs, for even the smallest disruption can unravel existence.
