Some time has passed.

With Saratauc laid to rest, the remaining members of the party pressed onward, their purpose hardened by grief and justice. Their journey brought them to Wolford, the fortified heart of Blackwater HQ, a stronghold loyal to the Golden Rat Syndicate.

Executing a bold and decisive siege, the party dismantled the Blackwater militia from within, sowing chaos and fear among its ranks. In the aftermath, they confronted Vincent Blackwater himself—once an iron-fisted enforcer of the Syndicate. Rather than fight to the death, Vincent surrendered and, in a moment of rare pragmatism, agreed to lead the party to the hidden mountain base of the Syndicate’s elusive leader: Hardin Tomcat, Rosenhall’s most wanted criminal.

The party traversed treacherous mountain passes and found the repair station-turned-hideout, concealed within the cliffs. Under cover of night, they launched a stealth assault, moving like shadows through the complex. In a carefully planned ambush, they struck down Hardin before he could raise the alarm or escape.

With Hardin’s death, the Golden Rat Syndicate shattered—its power base obliterated, its influence in Rosenhall severed. The criminal empire that had ruled the city from the shadows for decades was no more.

One rat down.

But many still scurry in the dark.
